Leadenham Military History Club Forthcoming Events
Please note that for family reasons, Simon's presentation on HMS Hermes and the Fleet Air Arm, scheduled for our "Navy Night" on 25th March, has had to be postponed, and will be replaced by a presentation on the hunting of Force Z, the naval task force intended to protect Singapore and the Far East.
Below are our proposed meetings for the next few months. Doors open at 7.00 for 7.30pm start, at Leadenham Village Hall, LN5 0QB.
All are welcome - admission/membership £5 per person - refreshments available.

Presentation: Herbert Cheffings, leading seaman – based on the memoirs of this local man who took part in the Battle of Jutland and operations in Somaliland - by Alison Gibson.

A small-group tour of the iconic College Hall Officers' Mess, the iconic symbol of the world's first and oldest independent air academy.
This tour is led by our very own Mike Whitwham, whose knowledge of Cranwell's history is unsurpassed.
It covers the history of Cranwell and focuses on a fascinating tour of this magnificent building and its historic contents, including the bust of Hermann Goering, and Dowding's letter to Churchill of May 16, 1940.
