In this section we highlight other events we think may be of interest to our members, which are either local to the club or have some other connection to it.

We Have Ways Fest - 12 - 14 September 2025

Tim Willbond, our chairman and presenter, has once again presented at the 2024 "We Have Ways Fest" at Blackpit Farm, near Silverstone, on 19-21 July 2024.

Tim, along with his son, the actor and producer Ben Willbond, presented "Lean Towards France - Fighter Commando", based on his presentation to the LMHC in January, titled "Leaning into France - Fighter Command Operations in 1941 and 1942". You saw it here first!

This year's We Have Ways Fest, which we are happy to support, is on 12th - 14th September. 

If you have not heard of this Festival, or its associated podcast "We Have Ways of Making you Talk", presented by historian James Holland and comedian Al Murray, it is well worth a look. Here is a link to the trailer for their Youtube series on Operation Overlord:

Western Front Association - Lincoln branch

The LMHC has been grateful for support from the members of its local branch of the WFA.

Their next meeting will be held at 7.30pm on Monday February 24th – When Andy Stewart will present “Armistice Day 1918: Where The Guns Didn’t Stop”.

Meetings are held at The Royal Naval Association Club, Coulson Road, Lincoln, LN6 7BG.  Doors open 6.30pm for 7.00pm start. On-street parking outside the Club, or on small car park behind it.  Admission by donation, suggested £4.00. Of course, we also run a raffle.  Oh yes, and for those who like chocolate, the Steward does a nice line in discounted choccies!
